“The world’s toughest row,” Talisker Whiskey’s annual Atlantic Challenge takes rowers more than 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a test of stamina and skill. This segment of Talisker’s Wild Spirits campaign highlighted the Latitude 35 rowing team, captained by Dixon McDonald. Latitude 35 rowed in support of four charities. The campaign was shot for Oliver creative agency.
ISLA URBANA
Nestled in the hills surrounding Mexico City is Quiltipec eco-village. The community works with Isla Urbana, a social enterprise using rainwater harvesting systems to combat Mexico’s ongoing water crisis. Many members of the community have purchased rainwater harvesting systems from the organization, as well as other eco-technologies like biodigesters, solar heaters, solar dehydrators, and biofilters for gray water treatment.
MADISON MAGAZINE
In the days following the murder of George Floyd in neighboring Minnesota, thousands flocked to the streets in Madison, Wisconsin, in outrage and solidarity. Among those leading the charge were a number of Black youth, some of whom were profiled in Madison Magazine’s August 2020 issue.
